secondment qualified professional from SNMHs and related organizations
The “secondment†provision of qualified professionals from National Meteorological & Hydological Services  offered by ACMAD is part of its statute,  adopted by its member states which allows this personnel “on secondment†to continue being a staff member of their mother administration, while in ACMAD.
This provision has two purposes and benefits:
a)   ACMAD benefit from qualified human resources to support and assist its experts in their operational and development activities in the field of production, management and dissemination of information and services related to weather and climate
b)Â Â Â Give the opportunity to African NMHS technical staff and scientists to improve their expertise by working in a competitive international environment
The program of work to be assigned to this type of personal relates to the specific tasks needed to achieve the ISACIP / AfriClimServ project objectives and contribute to the fulfillment of the functions of the Regional Climate Center at Continental level such as improvement of existing products for weather and climate monitoring and forecasting , forecasts verification methods at different time scales, monitoring and evaluation of the use of the products, development of new services and products, data management and information dissemination to end users.
During their stay at ACMAD, planned to span over a period of 6 to 12 months, the secondedt staff  will be deployed in one of the technical  / or management structures of ACMAD in the following areas:
ü Weather monitoring and forecasting,
ü Climate & Environment (operational or development) Â
ü Information Technology and Telecommunications
ü Development of products for early warning systems (vigilance system) and / or monitoring and evaluation.
ü Project Management
The activities entrusted to the staff are directly supervised by experts hired on full-time program under the supervision of the structure Departments and the project coordinator. Télécharger les Détails
